Mucix
Mucix is a cat who had a very difficult start in life. She was born with a rare malformation that made it difficult for her to breathe. The staff from Localvet took her in from the streets when she was ill with panleukopenia; she was so ill that she couldn't eat by herself for three weeks and survived only through syringe feeding. Although she gradually started to recover, the respiratory issues and purulent secretions persisted.
Mucix was then sent to a different veterinary center for a complicated procedure that was supposed to help fully heal her. Unfortunately, during the procedure, inadequate oxygenation to her brain caused her to lose her sight and hearing. Moreover, her breathing remained impaired, and the surgery failed to resolve the original issue. Following the operation, Mucix went through a difficult recovery period during which she couldn’t even walk. Now, with much care and love, she has started walking again, and her caregivers at LocalVet do everything possible to give her the best life they can.
